About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Product Owner, who’s motivated by solving our customers’ problems, tackling new challenges and immediately delivering value. Working with the entire organisation, you’ll provide a leading role in building & launching new features for our clients.
You’ll be the custodian of the product backlog, and will own the process of defining, setting and prioritising the work. To do this, you’ll need to be a conscientious, proactive, self-starter, who has a high degree of personal accountability and initiative.

What you’ll be doing
Internally, you will champion the voice of the customer.
Engage continuously with our customers to understand and validate their needs.
Ensure there is a healthy, prioritised, well-maintained backlog of valuable work for the development teams.
Ensure solutions are prioritised and aligned with customer needs, business commitments and overall company strategy.
Create user stories to express value to the teams. Be responsible for the end-to-end process of turning high-level user needs & problems into buildable solutions, which deliver a fantastic user experience.
Collaborate with product, design, engineering, internal stakeholders and customers to find and agree on the right way forward.
Provide a leading role in managing the scope of work for teams, identifying risks, dependencies and impediments through the value stream.
Throughout the process, ensure that the development delivers the intended value and solves the original problem, by setting SMART goals.
Identify & action iterations and ways of evolving the product, using research and key metrics where applicable.
Gather and handle incoming requests, opportunities and issues - reprioritise and negotiate with stakeholders when needed.
Proactively champion and communicate new features, author release comms, resolve stakeholder queries and be the primary point of contact for queries related to the product.
Work with the wider Product team to shape the vision, direction and quality of the product, understanding our market and competitive landscape.
Seek out and raise ways to improve the overall product development process, drawing from the latest Agile and Lean approaches.

Quinyx was founded by our CEO Erik Fjellborg when working at McDonald’s as a student. After seeing how difficult it was for managers to manually schedule the staff, Erik created the scheduling tool Quinyx. McDonald’s loved the solution and became the first customer.
